November is off to a huge start! This is my first NaNoWriMo, and I am hoping to hit the goal of 50k words before 11/30. Even if I don’t make it, I’ll have established some pretty great writing habits in the meantime. Have you done NaNo before? Did you win? I’d love to hear about it.
I am penning a closed-door holiday romance, so it probably won’t see the light of day until November of 2023, but I am thrilled to be starting with an end in mind.
I have a habit of starting to write and then getting 3/4 of the way through before panicking and then stopping LOL. I know where I want it to end, I know how to make it get there, but something about actually finishing has been intimidating.
Here is to NaNo kicking me in the behind and getting me through the hump.

The other AMAZING thing that has happened this month is I have signed on with Orange Blossom Publishing to pen a caregiver journal for their Focus Journal line. This is something near to my heart. I have had several family members need a caregiver either long term or short. My father was paralyzed and needed assistance. My mother required short term help during her cancer treatments. My great grandmother had dementia and required care. The list goes on, but as you can see, I am aware of the stress one can be under while caring for a loved one. My hope is this journal will be an encouragement to those who have taken up this task and given so much of themselves.
Stay Tuned! Exciting things are happening, and it’s only the beginning of November!
